Roe Auditions
The Footlight Club is pleased to announce upcoming auditions for Roe by Lisa Loomer.
The Footlight Club is committed to creating a diverse theatre community that reflects Jamaica Plain and the Greater Boston area, and ensuring an equitable and inclusive culture by challenging inequity and oppressive systems both internally and externally.

Performance Dates:
Saturday 11/5, 8pm; Sunday 11/6, 2pm
Friday 11/11, Saturday 11/12, 8pm; Sunday 11/13, 2pm
Friday 11/18, Saturday 11/19 at 8pm
STRIKE will be on Sunday 11/20 and is mandatory for all cast/crew.
Rehearsals will begin August 21st and run Sunday afternoon 2-5pm/Monday/Wednesdays 7-10pm through October, and daily tech rehearsals Sunday 10/30 – Friday 11/4 2022.

Audition Requirements:
Prepare one of the monologues here.
Please email your headshot, resume (if you have them) and completed audition form and Covid Safety Form to us at roeflc@gmail.com. Or bring them to auditions.
If you do not have a headshot, our team may take a photo at auditions.

Cast Breakdown:
Cast: 12 (8F, 3M/F, 1F child)
Cast Diversity: The cast list calls for at least one Latinx, and two or more People of Color, and one child actor (F) 7-12 years old
Regarding Actor Health and Safety:
The health and safety of actors, production team, and patrons is The Footlight Club’s highest priority, and we aim to be transparent regarding our plans for Covid-19 safety during rehearsals and performances. While we will not ask actors or production crew to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result, we expect that all participants in this production who are able will be fully vaccinated by the time of auditions.
Production staff will be masked during the audition process, and actors are asked to wear masks until their individual audition, at which time they are welcome to remove their masks. If actors are paired in a scene during callbacks, they are asked to remain masked.
